All the education you need to earn your specialty Health and Wellness Coach Credential.

60 hours of approved coach-specific training by the International Coach Federation, National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), and the Center for Credentialing and Education.

How to Become a Certified Wellness Coach

1. Immediately begin with three video courses: Coaching Skills; Emotional Intelligence and Coaching; and Appreciative Inquiry in Wellness Coaching (18 hours)
2. Attend the In-Person Wellness Coaching and Well-Being Coaching Foundations Training (16 hours)
3. Complete the Wellness and Well-being Virtual Program – 2 hours per week (26 hours)

Continuing Education: 60 CCE Hours for the full program. This program is approved by the International Coach Federation, the Center for Credentialing and Education, and the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) (the same agency that conducts the licensing exams for physicians) have launched a national certification for health and wellness coaches. This program also meets the educational credentialing requirements for the International Coach Federation Associate Certified Coach Portfolio Path and for the Board Certified Coach Credential offered by the Center for Credentialing and Education.

Psychologists: CEC is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. CEC maintains responsibility for the program.
