Weekly 90-minute teleclasses on Tuesdays at 7-8:30 pm ET

Event Description:

Coaching for Transformation (CFT) is a professional certification program with 90 in-person and 50 online class hours, 10 mentor hours, 40 practice coaching hours, business and marketing preparation, access to an online learning community, weekly online discussions, and oral and written assessments. You also work directly with a CFT certified coach of your choice for 6 hours (not included in the program cost).

This unique offering at Omega Institute is open to all who identify as women. The certification course recognizes and celebrates women as catalysts for transforming themselves, their communities, and their world. While many coaching models simply focus on taking action, the CFT process helps women break through limiting beliefs, become aware of the wisdom in their bodies, identify their emotions, and understand underlying needs. From this grounded, centered place of deep awareness, women may then use their inner resourcefulness to choose actions that honor their values and aligns with deep transformation.

CFT begins with a weeklong intensive at Omega, where you start your professional training, get inspired, meet like-minded people, share meals together, and more—all while enjoying evening events, hiking trails, and other rejuvenating amenities in an intimate natural setting.

After your initial week of training (June 16-21), you stay connected with online teleclasses (Tuesdays – June 25, 2019 through March 31, 2020), discussions, and assignments, plus three additional weekends on campus: August 9-11, September 20-22, and October 25-27. Graduation date (online session) is Tuesday March 31, 2020.

CFT is an International Coach Federation Accredited Coach Training Program.

Who Should Attend:
CFT is for women serious about doing life-changing work and those who want to make a difference in the world. You can use coaching to enhance your existing career or practice, or launch a business as a transformational coach.

While coaching skills are a natural extension of certain professions, such as therapy, management, or consulting, our students come from varied backgrounds—social justice, business, nonprofits, health care, education, ministry, law, and more.

Overall Approach
The learning process is experiential and includes instruction, demonstrations, practice, feedback, and discussions. The teleclasses review and expand the topics. There is a series on creating your coaching business. Mentoring provides small group and individual support in learning the skills and approach. Peer coaching, working with clients, and your own CFT coach provides practice to integrate of the method.

This course will examine 14 Positive Psychology and/or Coaching processes. This potent formula can help clear blocks to personal growth while moving you into places of infinite possibilities. Learn how to best utilize these hands-on processes for yourself and your clients.

The Dynamic Trio is based on the two chapters Ann-Marie wrote in EMDR Solutions II edited by Robin Shapiro. The chapters are titled “EMDR and Positive Psychology” and “EMDR and Coaching.” This material was officially introduced at the EMDR European Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland in June, 2014 – resulting in a standing ovation! At the conference “The Three Treasures Practice and Research Study” was also introduced, unveiling for the first time the efficacy of EMDR, Positive Psychology, and Loving Kindness Meditation.

Based on the work of Dr. Mary Ann Iyer and the teaching of Dr. Rhonda Simpson

This class is rich. Delicious. Ripe with juicy work! You can already begin to see how much food and our relationship to it finds its way into the rest of our lives… Our relationship with food and nourishment is one of the most central aspects of our being in the world.

Through bringing more awareness to our relationships with food, eating, and nourishment we can help our clients (and ourselves) unpack layers of beliefs, as they manifest through our eating habits, and see to the core of difficulties in our lives as a whole.

This class gives us an opportunity to examine our eating habits and the ways we relate to ourselves and to nourishment, as we learn how to go deeper in our queries and coaching with our clients. Meditation, reflection, and discussion will be part of each class module.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Examine deep beliefs that uphold our eating habits
Unpack our current style of “nourishment”
Apply principles of effective nourishment
Use metaphors to see how we digest life (or don’t)
Using these approaches in coaching sessions

TOOLS & SKILLS FOR A LUMINOUS LIFE.

Luminous means: “emitting or reflecting light, startlingly bright, inspiring, radiant, resplendent, stunning, splendid.” In this course, you will learn the Luminous Life Method™ — a way to create a life in which you see, at any moment, that you are doing exactly what you are here to do. The Four Pillars of Luminosity are:

• Clarity: Seeing who you truly are and what is important to you. In this course you will discover your “True North” and gain tools to live by it.

• Focus: Putting your energy where it can do the greatest good. In this course, you’ll see where you’ve wasted energy, and how to get it back.

• Ease: Going for your dreams, but with elegance rather than struggle. In this course you’ll see how to “get things done” and still enjoy your life!

• Grace: Being consistently grateful for the privilege to engage your life. In this course, you’ll gain practices for bringing gratitude to each moment.

• • • • • •

CURRICULUM FOR A LIFE WELL-LIVED.

You will gain a foolproof set of tools, practices, and skills for living the Luminous Life, encapsulated by the Six Core Practices:

• Mindfulness: Quickly observe and rise above your self-limiting inner dialogue.

• Resilience: Stay centered and respond easily, no matter the circumstances.

• Authenticity: Act from who you truly are, rather than from your fears and pretense.

• Empowerment: Create a context in which others can see and act from their greatness.

• Growth Mindset: Continually and actively be “coached” by your life and all those in it.

• Creative Action: Bring your most cherished vision to reality by taking small sweet steps.

• • • • • •

A PROFOUND & PRACTICAL APPROACH.

Our work is rooted in ontology, the study of being. We look at what it truly is to be human: The values we live by, the heroic journey we are each here to take, and, ultimately, the gift to others we want to be known for. Our approach is:

• Universal: Our approach is grounded in principles found across spiritual and secular traditions, from ancient wisdom teachings to the latest research in neuroscience.

• Pragmatic: We turn timeless wisdom into an elegant framework of tools and practices for living your values, realizing your vision, and empowering others.

• Transformational: Our rigorous approach teaches you how to create lasting shifts in the way you see and do things — long after the high of an “aha” moment wears off.

• Compassionate: Our approach honors the wholeness and dignity of every person, and affirms our capacity to move beyond external obstacles and internal limitations.

• Socially conscious: As we support people to see their greatness, they naturally turn to the contribution they are here to make, to their community and to the world.

WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING:

“This work has taken my coaching to a new level and created a lot of energy in my life. I gained a deeper understanding about how I was getting in my way as a coach. The tools I learned have helped me as a coach and in my daily life, and as a result, I’ve been able to help my clients shift from their self-limiting thoughts to what’s most important to them.”
— Bengt Kallenberg, Executive & Career Coach

“I can say unequivocally that learning these tools, putting them into practice, and being in community with my classmates ever since, I’ve become more active in issues that matter deeply to me (anti-racism; gun control; the elections), more vocal, more able to invite others into honest conversation, and LESS weary of the challenges. I literally see people through a different lens.”
— Linda Bidlack, leadership and resilience coach

“I used to go from workshop to seminar to retreat, and leave inspired… but the “magic” always wore off. The difference with this training is profound and practical skills and tools I use every day (no joke), and solid support structures that keep me going. Now I’m doing what I’m really here to do, earning greater income, experiencing greater ease in my relationships, and playing with incredible energy toward my goals. I’m talking myself INTO my dreams rather than OUT of them.”
— Jenny Russell, Life Coach

“This course guided me gently, slowly, and with care, to see what stood in the way of my success and fulfillment. The opportunity to leave with more confidence and trust in my voice of wisdom than ever before was completely priceless.”
— Mazin Jamal Mahgoub • Coach, Artist, and Community Organizer

“Enriching experience extraordinaire. Principles, tools and experiential learning to build the skills needed to deepen my understanding of myself AND to show up in a way that is coherent with my values and my life’s purpose. Practical, accessible, and truly meaningful.”
— Mary Whitcomb, Executive Coach, PwC

“Mastering Life’s Energies taught me how to quiet my cultured and busy mind, stay present, and open up to my true self. This has allowed me to contribute to others more fully, share my gifts, and most importantly enjoy my life.”
— Eric Sargent • Coach; Program Manager for Baltimore Orchard Project

“Have you ever had one of those totally defining moments in your life? One that changes something fundamental within you in a way that you could never have anticipated? Well, this was it for me! Together with other brave course participants, I threw myself into a game-changing training programme, the likes of which I have never been on before. And I can tell you I’ve been on a great many courses through the years.”
— Annika Svensson • Coach, consultant and project/business developer

Writing is one of the most powerful practices of attention we have as human beings. As with mindfulness practice, the practice of writing deepens our self-awareness, allows exploration of our consciousness, trains our attention to what is most alive in and around us, and cultivates the fullest and most creative expression of ourselves. When combined together, the power of coaching, writing and mindfulness practices open up new realms of creative possibility in our lives and those of our clients.

Join this exciting eight-week course and explore your inner and outer creativity through the practices of writing, mindfulness, and coaching. We will practice writing as a path of personal exploration, and as a means to engage your coaching clients in a more creative and mindful way. Class and individual exercises will inspire our innate creativity and intuition and will deepen our awareness of what’s possible. Sessions will include periods of dynamic mindfulness practices, innovative writing exercises, readings, Q&A, sharing, discussion and coaching demonstrations.

Grow into your leading edge by being coached on your coaching – for ICF credentialing (initial or renewal).

The Mentor Coaching Group and Individual Sessions are designed for student coaches and credentialed coaches to fine tune, activate, and embody being a Mindfulness, Wellness & Somatic Coach. Along with coaching skills, we delve into altruism, compassion, love, connection and much humor… it’s the whole enchilada!

What are the Group Mentor Coaching sessions like?
The Group meetings begin with Q & A. Coaching concerns and questions are discussed. It is a time to explore where you may feel flummoxed, puzzled, or less than stellar as a coach. It’s a time of Beginner’s Mind.

The second segment is an observed coaching session. Each week two colleagues will take on the role of the coach or client. The remaining members will observe the session. Each observer participates by giving positive feedback and later asking questions that arose from the coaching session. Ann-Marie offers suggestions, comments, and observations during and after the coaching session.

The seven hours of Group Mentor Coaching sessions are 1-2 hours per session. (See schedule.)

What are the Individual Mentor Coaching sessions like?
The Individual sessions are all about you! They are about guiding you into the field of being a stellar coach by focusing on meeting your needs. This is not a time to worry about looking good. Instead, it’s a time to determine what areas of your coaching are in need of attention – taking it all to the next level.

You will bring forward what you’re unclear on, confused about, stumped on, or needing more awareness around – anything that will help you become a stellar coach. It’s a time to learn and have fun as you grow into your leading edge. It’s a time for practice. Ann-Marie will not be coaching you; you will be coaching Ann-Marie during part of the session.

The three individual sessions are one hour each and scheduled directly with Ann-Marie.

MENTOR COACHING INCLUDES:
• Seven (7) hours of scheduled group Mentor Coaching
• Three (3) hours of one-on-one Mentor Coaching with ICF registered Mentor Coach Ann-Marie McKelvey. These are scheduled with Ann-Marie directly.
