It introduces participants to modern neuroscientific understandings about how the brain works; how energy is created and directed; what the emotional bases of motivation are: how an appreciation of the interpersonal neurobiology of the coaching encounter can be managed in pursuit of the client’s coaching goals; and what the neurobiological bases of stress are and how stress can be managed epigenetically through perceptual shifts and awareness. Over the ten months of the Programme it combines face-to-face teaching of knowledge and simulation training with case material webinars.

Event End Date: Thursday, March 28, 2019 – 5:10 PM (Pacific)

Event Description:

Erickson has been an international leader in Coach Training since 1980. Over the years Erickson has been approached by numerous leaders looking for coaching techniques as an add-on to their already existing leadership skills within their workplace.

For this specific reason, Erickson has created the course Coaching Competencies for Leaders with an appreciation of the reality that leaders face today. This short but impactful course focuses on training fundamental coaching techniques applicable in both a one-on-one and team setting.

The course develops coaching competence as a leadership tool, resulting in confident and balanced leadership. By immediately applying the learned concepts with direct reports, peers and colleagues, the knowledge is transferred within the organization, and a coaching culture emerges.

Coaching Competencies for Leaders also allows leaders and their organizations to create a shift from a ‘command and control’ approach to an accountable coaching culture. Organizations and teams will discover and realize better communication, reductions in crises and conflict, meaningful employee engagement, more productive work performance and improved business results. The content and format deal with real cases and scenarios. Solution-Focused coaching is used as a fundamental tool to address these situations. Leaders from all levels of different organizations are welcome to participate in this program to deepen their leadership competence, share their knowledge, and grow with other exceptional leaders from around the globe.

This course is recognized by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a course supplying a total of 19.75 hours of Continuing Coaching Education Units (13.5 of them are ICF Core Competencies).

This is a 6-session course. One must attend all sessions. Dates are: Jan 29, Feb 5, 12, 19, 26, Mar 5

Event Description:

Focusing on four ICF core competencies, this six-week, on-line course equips coaches with the core elements from Relational Presence (RP) training to increase their coaching effectiveness by expanding their capacity for presence.

In six, 90-minute interactive classes held over Zoom, coaches will learn a way of “being with” their clients that heightens trust and intimacy, enriches coaching presence, deepens active listening, and fine tunes direct communication.

Facilitators Tina Mertel and Pam Noda are PCC-level coaches and are certified in Relational Presence (also known as Speaking Circles®) Training. Experience has taught them that being in Relational Presence with clients is the ground of coaching wisdom. From there emerges a coach’s sense of what to say when and which skills/tools to apply. From there emerges a client’s inner knowing and call to action. This combination is what yields inspired coaching from the coach and inspired results for the client.

Coaches will leave this course with a fresh take on their way of “being with” clients that supports the ICF Core Competencies and prepared to use their newly expanded capacity for presence in full service of their clients.

HSA – Happiness Studies Academy: Certificate in Happiness Studies (CiHS) – 02/11/2019 Tickets
Feb 11 2019 @ 4:44 pm – Jan 13 2020 @ 5:44 pm
HSA - Happiness Studies Academy: Certificate in Happiness Studies (CiHS) - 02/11/2019

Event Start Date: Monday, February 11, 2019 – 8:00 AM

Event End Date: Monday, January 13, 2020 – 10:00 PM

Event Description:

The Certificate in Happiness Studies (CIHS) is a year-long online program that comprises two courses:

1. Introduction to Happiness Studies
2. Facilitating Happiness

The first course spans 26 weeks and includes 26 lectures and 13 webinars; the second also lasts 26 weeks and includes 14 lectures and 12 webinars. Lectures are pre-recorded so you can watch them at your convenience. Webinars are live, an opportunity for you to ask questions, but they are recorded so if you cannot attend the live event, you can always watch it later. Lectures and webinars are an hour long and are led entirely by Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar.

Each week you will receive some homework—or homeplay as we like to call it—including guided meditations, visualization exercises, journaling activities, and more. The activities are designed to increase retention and assimilation of material, and most importantly, to help you become healthier and happier.

You should be prepared to invest at least three hours a week on all the tasks—including watching the lectures, participating in the webinars, and doing your homeplay.

The mission of the Happiness Studies Academy is to lead the happiness revolution, by educating leaders who are themselves dedicated to personal, interpersonal, and communal flourishing.

To realize our mission, we at HSA take a wholistic, interdisciplinary approach to teaching happiness—first in the way we define happiness, and second in the way we teach it. We define happiness as the experience of wholeperson wellbeing, or in short, the experience of wholebeing. The five elements essential to a life of wholebeing are:

Spiritual
Physical
Intellectual
Relational
Emotional

Taken together, these elements make up the acronym SPIRE, and indeed they inspire all of our programs—from our introductory lectures on happiness to the one-year Certificate in Happiness Studies.

To better understand, pursue, and attain wholebeing, it is not enough to explore each of the SPIRE elements through the lens of a single field—be it psychology or philosophy. Instead, we need to take an interdisciplinary approach, turn to psychology and philosophy, as well as to literature, history, economics, theology, biology and other disciplines. This interdisciplinary approach is aligned with our general wholistic approach—one that bridges rather than divides, unites rather than separates. We bridge and unite between:

Theory and practice
Reflection and action
Common sense and complexity
Ancient wisdom and modern research
The humanistic and the scientific
East and West
The rich content coupled with the unique way in which the content is taught, informs about the meaning and significance of happiness, as well as transforms and creates a better world.

Event Description:

In this e-training, participants experience the world of self-reflection and reflection in business and leadership. They learn by engaging with reflection and so conceive how to work with it successfully.

Reflection is multidimensional and so are the individual ways of reflecting. Through individual reflections processes, peer-to-peer coaching and detailed feedback from instructor and peers, participants gain deeply enriching experiences for their personal and professional growth. Participants are introduced to coaching with artwork, symbols and archetypes to foster reflection based on the Symbolon-Method®.

The alternation between theory and practice enables the transfer into practice. The e-learning environment allows the coaches to progress in their own speed and revisit the different elements (videos and exercises) whenever wanted.   Through the reflection training their professional competence of creating awareness and powerful questioning widens hugely. Through the concepts and tools provided during the training, participants are enabled to steer reflection processes and lead their clients to their inner core and their source for solutions, well being and potential development.

This training empowers coaches to use reflection as technique to enable insights and transformation. By completing this training coaches become experts for reflection and are skilled to offer coaching to expand reflective competence.
