The Science of the Art of Coaching Programme is designed for executive coaches, practitioners or human resource/ talent leaders interested in applying knowledge from modern neuroscience and interpersonal biology to enhance coaching conversations and outcomes. It introduces participants to modern neuroscientific understandings about how the brain works; how energy is created and directed; what the emotional bases of motivation are: how an appreciation of the interpersonal neurobiology of the coaching encounter can be managed in pursuit of the client’s coaching goals; and what the neurobiological bases of stress are and how stress can be managed epigenetically through perceptual shifts and awareness. Over the ten months of the Programme it combines face-to-face teaching of knowledge and simulation training with case material webinars.

Paul Brown is a world leader in the way he is developing the use of neuroscience in organisations – A Clinical and Organisational Psychologist and Executive Coach and Supervisor, Paul’s main focus is in creating a general theory of the Individual and the Organisation based upon mapping how energy flows or gets blocked in the pursuit of profit or other outcomes within the organisational system

Lectures are pre-recorded so you can watch them at your convenience. Webinars are live, an opportunity for you to ask questions, but they are recorded so if you cannot attend the live event, you can always watch it later. Lectures and webinars are an hour long and are led entirely by Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar.

Each week you will receive some homework—or homeplay as we like to call it—including guided meditations, visualization exercises, journaling activities, and more. The activities are designed to increase retention and assimilation of material, and most importantly, to help you become healthier and happier.

You should be prepared to invest at least three hours a week on all the tasks—including watching the lectures, participating in the webinars, and doing your homeplay.

Event Description:

This programmes equips an experienced ICF Credentialed Coach to provide a professional service for Mentor Coaching for ICF Credentialing. Participants must hold a minimum of a PCC ICF Credential.

The programme covers an in-depth understanding of the ICF Core Competencies, how the PCC Markers are used for assessment purposes and how to provide effective feedback as a Mentor Coach. It will also provide opportunities to practice Mentor Coaching with other participants as well as engaging with an external Mentee as part of the programme’s curriculum. As a result of attending this programme, not only will participants meet the requirements of Mentor Coaching and receive 36 CCEUs, it will also significantly deepen and enhance their own coaching capabilities. This programme also serves as an advanced coach training programme for anyone who wants to further develop their skills as a coach and acquire more CCEs and coach training hours.

The programme comprises 18 web-based modules and covers a 9-month period. The programme culminates in an assessment process, successful completion of which leads you to receive your Certificate in Mentor Coaching for ICF Credentialing.

This Mentor training is for those coaches who want to invest in themselves and their coaching practice as part of their professional pride, integrity and on-going development towards mastery and offer a professional service to other coaches.

Learning Objectives:
– Develop in-depth understanding of the different roles a coach may have and the specific distinction of Mentor Coaching for Credentialing.
– Develop an in-depth understanding and application of ICF Core Competencies
– Articulate the difference between ACC and PCC level coaching for each Core Competence
– Practice, apply the learning and receive feedback through triad practice groups
– Understand the purpose of giving feedback as a Mentor Coach and to establish best practice of verbal and written feedback.
– Introduce, understand and practice using the ICF PCC Markers as performance evaluation process
– Understand the roles and responsibilities of an ICF Mentor Coach for Credentialing purposes and to create appropriate documentation.
– Know and understand the ICF’s Code of Ethics. Apply the Code of Ethics as a Mentor Coach and how to incorporate the Code into a Mentor Coaching package.

The Certification in Power Intelligence® seminar trains and certifies coaches, consultants, HR professionals, and anyone working with leaders to administer the Diamond Power Index®, a multi-rater and self-rater assessment that assists leaders in developing their effective use of power. The entire three-day training covers the background and research underlying the instrument, how to administer the test, how to interpret scores and reports, how to coach and train leaders and leadership teams, as well as marketing support for using it in organizations. Successful completion of the seminar will result in certification for using the assessment.

Module 1 is a day and a half introduction for those who want to learn how to coach and train leaders on their use of power, and work with issues related to power in organizations. It covers the background theory, addresses main behaviors related to power use and how to work with them, and presents methods for coaching and training. It does not include how to administer the assessment, interpret reports, and does not lead to certification in the assessment. How does the certification process work?

* Self-paced eLearning pre-work.
* A personal one-on-one EQ-i debrief of your own results by telephone.
* A virtual classroom where you access elearning pre-work as well as the online exam.
* Two days of highly interactive and enganging online instruction using 2-way webacams (you see the instructor and all other participants during the whole course).
*. Email support with a certified Master Trainer for the entire duration of the certification process, and for 60 days following the course.
* One free EQ-i Workplace Report, and one EQ360 Workplace report for your own use after the course ($280 value).
* A copy of the EQ-Edge by Steven Stein – a great resource for exploring your own EQ.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes circumstances mean you need to transfer or cancel your registration. We try to be as flexible as possible when this happens. Requests to transfer your registration to another scheduled course must be made via e-mail no later than 15 business days before the program start date. You may transfer into another course, in the same format (i.e online or in-person) that will be held within the following 6 calendar months. If you are unable to attend the program to which you transfer, you may send a replacement. If you are unable to send a replacement, you forfeit your registration fee.

Confirmed registrants may cancel and receive a full refund minus a $250 CAD administrative fee up to 10 business days before the course start date. If you find that you are unable to attend and it is less than 10 business days before the program start date, you may send a replacement to attend in your place. If you are unable to send a replacement, you forfeit your registration fee. If you wish you can be placed on a ‘standby’ list that will allow you to attend a future course if there is a space available after ticket sales for that course have closed.
