CFT begins with a weeklong intensive at Omega, where you start your professional training, get inspired, meet like-minded people, share meals together, and more—all while enjoying evening events, hiking trails, and other rejuvenating amenities in an intimate natural setting.

After your initial week of training (June 17-22), you stay connected with online teleclasses (Tuesdays – June 26, 2018 through April 2, 2019), discussions, and assignments, plus three additional weekends on campus: August 3-5, September 14-16, and October 26-28. “I am a physician, psychiatrist and board certified coach who has been coaching regularly. Despite my extensive training on wellness and motivating patients, I found this course to be extremely useful and will contribute greatly to my practice. The time was well spent and generally a very efficient learning method because of the exposure to so many masters teaching the essence of their work in a practical and concise manner. It was like reading a new book every week! The tools presented were directly applicable for use with clients. As a bonus, I learned about myself through the direct, personal exposure to the assessments. This was a great course, and I saved thousands by not having to travel! Thanks for all your hard work in creating such an experience!”

Obtain All the Educational Requirements for International Coach Federation Credentialing

Understandably, many coaches want to get the International Coach Federation (ICF) credential as soon as possible and to accomplish this with as little travel as possible. This makes sense for many coaches since holding an ICF credential may help them obtain coaching clients because then the coach has the credibility of the ICF credential, which is the most respected and credible coaching certification available. The desirability of holding an ICF credential is often mentioned in the media and is increasingly being sought by organizations as they hire internal coaches.
The prospective student is encouraged to read the ICF requirements directly at the ICF website. Specific questions about ICF credentialing should be directed to International Coach Federation staff.

Mindfulness Coaching School: Writing, Creativity & The Mindful Coach

Event Start Date: Monday, January 07, 2019 – 2:00 PM

Event End Date: Monday, February 25, 2019 – 3:30 PM

Event Description:

Mondays, January 7 – February 25

Based on the writing and teachings of author Albert Flynn DeSilver.

Writing is one of the most powerful points of attention we have as human beings, and when we focus our attention toward the realms of the possible, our lives become a living expression of possibility. The practice of writing is an exploration of consciousness – a practice toward deeper self-awareness – and moves us along the path of awakening to our true nature. Many of our greatest spiritual teachers and coaches from around the world were, and are writers. We will reflect on their gifts as well as explore our own throughout this class. From Sappho in the 7th century BC, to Pema Chodron—from Rumi in the 13th century to Thomas Merton, Jack Kornfield, and the Dalai Lama—the written word has the power, not only to inspire, but to awaken the very best in the human heart.

Join us for this exciting eight-week course exploring your inner and outer creativity through the practices of writing and coaching. The class will revolve around how to utilize writing for not only personal awakening, but also as a way to engage your coaching clients in a more creative and mindful way. The sessions will include periods of dynamic mindfulness practices, innovative writing exercises, readings, Q&A, sharing, discussion and coaching demonstrations. The purpose is to explore and inspire our innate creativity and intuition while experiencing deeper levels of awareness through the practices of writing and deep listening.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• How to cultivate or reconnect with a writing practice and integrate it within your coaching practice
• Innovative writing prompts, specific techniques and practices to improve your writing and that you can use with your clients
• Ways to free yourself of writing blocks
• How to access deeper levels of creativity and awareness through the practice of mindfulness
• A deeper understanding of the connection between creativity and consciousness
• Cultivate a mindful writing practice for yourself and your coaching clients
• Using somatic wisdom to connect with your truth

Mindfulness Coaching School: Right Speech: Listening Deeply, Speaking Truth

Event Start Date: Monday, January 07, 2019 – 4:00 PM

Event End Date: Monday, February 25, 2019 – 5:30 PM

Event Description:

Mondays, January 7 – February 25, 2019

It’s an exciting time to be alive — a time that requires listening deeply and speaking our truth.

This class is about much more than improving your communication skills. It’s about living and coaching in an environment that cultivates connection, courage, resilience, and kindness. It is about bringing compassion to the internal and external realities of yourself (and your clients).

We will practice transforming conditioned beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve us. As we let go of these outdated beliefs, new ideas and ways of thinking will emerge. Through the lens of coaching, the client is always viewed as being creative, resourceful, and whole. Right Speech encourages the action-oriented language of Positive Psychology to help clients live their fullest potential.

It’s a little embarrassing
that after 45 years of research and study,
the best advice I can give people
is to be a little kinder to each other.
~ Aldous Huxley

Event Start Date: Thursday, January 10, 2019 – 5:30 PM (US Mountain Time)

Event End Date: Thursday, February 28, 2019 – 7:00 PM (US Mountain Time)

Event Description:

Thursdays, January 10 – February 28: 5:30-7:00pm (US Mountain Time)

Our relationship with food and eating is one of the most primal aspects of our functioning in the world. Helping clients (and ourselves) unpack the nuanced layers of beliefs they hold as displayed through their eating habits often cuts to the core of other stuck places in their lives as a whole. This class gives us the opportunity to examine our own maladaptive (and adaptive!) eating habits even as we learn how to go deeper in our queries and coaching with our clients. Observed coaching sessions will be a part of each class.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Examine the closets of beliefs that uphold eating habits
• Unpack the threads of history that lead to our current style of “nourishment”
• Debunk discipline, control, and punishment (a.k.a. “diets”) as effective forms of nourishment or change
• Apply principles of effective nourishment to meet emotional and physical needs
• Learn techniques to question and reformat that which is no longer (and maybe never was) true or applicable in our lives now
• Learn – and practice – these techniques in coaching sessions

Event End Date: Thursday, March 28, 2019 – 5:10 PM (Pacific)

Event Description:

Erickson has been an international leader in Coach Training since 1980. Over the years Erickson has been approached by numerous leaders looking for coaching techniques as an add-on to their already existing leadership skills within their workplace.

For this specific reason, Erickson has created the course Coaching Competencies for Leaders with an appreciation of the reality that leaders face today. This short but impactful course focuses on training fundamental coaching techniques applicable in both a one-on-one and team setting.

The course develops coaching competence as a leadership tool, resulting in confident and balanced leadership. By immediately applying the learned concepts with direct reports, peers and colleagues, the knowledge is transferred within the organization, and a coaching culture emerges.

Coaching Competencies for Leaders also allows leaders and their organizations to create a shift from a ‘command and control’ approach to an accountable coaching culture. Organizations and teams will discover and realize better communication, reductions in crises and conflict, meaningful employee engagement, more productive work performance and improved business results. The content and format deal with real cases and scenarios. Solution-Focused coaching is used as a fundamental tool to address these situations. Leaders from all levels of different organizations are welcome to participate in this program to deepen their leadership competence, share their knowledge, and grow with other exceptional leaders from around the globe.

This course is recognized by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a course supplying a total of 19.75 hours of Continuing Coaching Education Units (13.5 of them are ICF Core Competencies).

TOOLS & SKILLS FOR A LUMINOUS LIFE.

Luminous means: “emitting or reflecting light, startlingly bright, inspiring, radiant, resplendent, stunning, splendid.” In this course, you will learn the Luminous Life Method™ — a way to create a life in which you see, at any moment, that you are doing exactly what you are here to do. The Four Pillars of Luminosity are:

• Clarity: Seeing who you truly are and what is important to you. In this course you will discover your “True North” and gain tools to live by it.

• Focus: Putting your energy where it can do the greatest good. In this course, you’ll see where you’ve wasted energy, and how to get it back.

• Ease: Going for your dreams, but with elegance rather than struggle. In this course you’ll see how to “get things done” and still enjoy your life!

• Grace: Being consistently grateful for the privilege to engage your life. In this course, you’ll gain practices for bringing gratitude to each moment.

• • • • • •

CURRICULUM FOR A LIFE WELL-LIVED.

You will gain a foolproof set of tools, practices, and skills for living the Luminous Life, encapsulated by the Six Core Practices:

• Mindfulness: Quickly observe and rise above your self-limiting inner dialogue.

• Resilience: Stay centered and respond easily, no matter the circumstances.

• Authenticity: Act from who you truly are, rather than from your fears and pretense.

• Empowerment: Create a context in which others can see and act from their greatness.

• Growth Mindset: Continually and actively be “coached” by your life and all those in it.

• Creative Action: Bring your most cherished vision to reality by taking small sweet steps.

• • • • • •

A PROFOUND & PRACTICAL APPROACH.

Our work is rooted in ontology, the study of being. We look at what it truly is to be human: The values we live by, the heroic journey we are each here to take, and, ultimately, the gift to others we want to be known for. Our approach is:

• Universal: Our approach is grounded in principles found across spiritual and secular traditions, from ancient wisdom teachings to the latest research in neuroscience.

• Pragmatic: We turn timeless wisdom into an elegant framework of tools and practices for living your values, realizing your vision, and empowering others.

• Transformational: Our rigorous approach teaches you how to create lasting shifts in the way you see and do things — long after the high of an “aha” moment wears off.

• Compassionate: Our approach honors the wholeness and dignity of every person, and affirms our capacity to move beyond external obstacles and internal limitations.

• Socially conscious: As we support people to see their greatness, they naturally turn to the contribution they are here to make, to their community and to the world.

• • • • • •

WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING:

“This work has taken my coaching to a new level and created a lot of energy in my life. I gained a deeper understanding about how I was getting in my way as a coach. The tools I learned have helped me as a coach and in my daily life, and as a result, I’ve been able to help my clients shift from their self-limiting thoughts to what’s most important to them.”
— Bengt Kallenberg, Executive & Career Coach

“I can say unequivocally that learning these tools, putting them into practice, and being in community with my classmates ever since, I’ve become more active in issues that matter deeply to me (anti-racism; gun control; the elections), more vocal, more able to invite others into honest conversation, and LESS weary of the challenges. I literally see people through a different lens.”
— Linda Bidlack, leadership and resilience coach

“I used to go from workshop to seminar to retreat, and leave inspired… but the “magic” always wore off. The difference with this training is profound and practical skills and tools I use every day (no joke), and solid support structures that keep me going. Now I’m doing what I’m really here to do, earning greater income, experiencing greater ease in my relationships, and playing with incredible energy toward my goals. I’m talking myself INTO my dreams rather than OUT of them.”
— Jenny Russell, Life Coach

“This course guided me gently, slowly, and with care, to see what stood in the way of my success and fulfillment. The opportunity to leave with more confidence and trust in my voice of wisdom than ever before was completely priceless.”
— Mazin Jamal Mahgoub • Coach, Artist, and Community Organizer

“Enriching experience extraordinaire. Principles, tools and experiential learning to build the skills needed to deepen my understanding of myself AND to show up in a way that is coherent with my values and my life’s purpose. Practical, accessible, and truly meaningful.”
— Mary Whitcomb, Executive Coach, PwC

“Mastering Life’s Energies taught me how to quiet my cultured and busy mind, stay present, and open up to my true self. This has allowed me to contribute to others more fully, share my gifts, and most importantly enjoy my life.”
— Eric Sargent • Coach; Program Manager for Baltimore Orchard Project

“Have you ever had one of those totally defining moments in your life? One that changes something fundamental within you in a way that you could never have anticipated? Well, this was it for me! Together with other brave course participants, I threw myself into a game-changing training programme, the likes of which I have never been on before. And I can tell you I’ve been on a great many courses through the years.”
— Annika Svensson • Coach, consultant and project/business developer
