NEUROCOACHING & NEUROLIDERAZGO

Speaker Name: Alex Jeffreys

In 2019 Alex made one of the biggest breakthroughs in the coaching industry. He found the GAP between what people are “willing” to charge vs what people are “willing” to pay. Every Coach who has followed his advice has attracted committed clients who are invested in getting results.

In the Business Building SIG, he will cover effective online marketing, how to close deals to open relationships, pricing, and productivity processes that will leave everyone feeling excited about growing their practice.

About Alex Jeffreys

Alex Jeffreys launched his coaching practice in 2008 making multiple six figures the first year, and every year until 2012 where he took his practice to 7 figures per year by 2015 Alex’s coaching company was ranked on the Inc 5000 list as the 935 fastest growing company in the USA and since 2016 Alex has been teaching other coaches how to start and scale their own coaching practices.

In this session, Alex will share with you one of the biggest breakthroughs he made in 2019 after millions of dollars in market research, and that breakthrough was finding the GAP between what people are “willing” to charge vs what people are “willing” to pay for coaching. Every Coach who follows Alex’s advice since has raised their prices to work less and attracts more committed clients invested in getting results.

Alex has a ZERO BS approach and is deep in the trenches making multiple six figures per month in his own business.

We’ll be covering three words, leverage, efficiency, and effectiveness. And when these are applied to sales marketing and productivity you too can be earning more while working less.

Build a richer connection with clients that evokes your best coaching self in service of the client

As coaches, our ability to be fully present and conscious with our clients is key to a successful relationship. Yet sometimes we can let the skills and tools we learned steal our focus away from being in the moment. And without a focus on our way of being with our client, our coaching relationship is less effective.

ICF Georgia – Exploring ICF’s Revised Code of Ethical Conduct Tickets
Jul 22 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Event Date: Wednesday, July 22, 2020 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Speaker Name: Philip Cohen, MCC

The ICF Ethical Code of Conduct is a complex set of guiding principles. Its purpose is to help professional coaches discern right from wrong. Guiding principles are not a set of rules: Ethical conduct is subjective and open to interpretation based on a variety of factors. What are the things coaches need to be thinking about and watching for?
In this webinar, using case studies from real situations, we will learn more about the latest version of the ICF Code of Ethics and address several important issues for coaches to consider including:
– Technology has only increased the complexity (think smart speakers) of adhering to the Code. How does this apply to confidentiality?
– What are the things we need to discuss with our clients or make them aware of?
– What is a conflict of interest?
– What is an appropriate relationship between a coach and a client?
– Where do I go to get clarification and advice?
Philip Cohen, MCC has been teaching ethics for many years and is considered one of the leading experts on the topic. Philip teaches coaching and is a mentor coach to other coaches, working with them to grow their coaching skills and to develop themselves. Philip was an early adopter of coaching, starting his coach training and coaching business in 1994. Philip is a founding member of the ICF, past International Treasurer, and was an assessor for the ICF credentialing program for many years. Currently, he’s an assessor at an ACTP program.

While speaking is one of the most effective ways to attract the right clients to your business, position yourself as a thought leader, and make big impact in the world, most coaches who speak live or online are following tired formulas for how to present (and sell) and are positioning themselves as experts at the expense of showing off their coaching skills.

Participants will be able to:
-Develop live and virtual presentations that demonstrate their coaching acumen and create breakthroughs for audience members
-Integrate the core coaching competencies of creating intimacy and trust, coaching presence, creating awareness, direct communication, and powerful questioning into their speaking,
-Sculpt and deliver powerful calls to action that guide raving fans into individual and organizational coaching clients, and
-Demystify how to create pitches for virtual and in-person speaking opportunities that make event organizers say YES!

ICF Wisconsin - How You Learn Is How You Live: Using Learning Styles

Event Date: Thursday, August 27, 2020 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Speaker Name: Kay Peterson

Few people have considered what learning is or examined their own approach to learning. Kay will make the process of learning explicit using the Experiential Learning Cycle, a four-step process of Experiencing, Reflecting, Thinking, and Acting that is simple, but not easy. Since the cycle contains pairs of opposites–experiencing and thinking; reflecting and acting —few people find that they are automatically able to manage all these ways of learning with equal ease.

Coaches will identify their own preferred approach to learning– a learning style–and examine its consequences for their life and coaching practice. Learning styles are habits of learning, not traits or pigeonholes. Each style brings its own joys and satisfactions, presents its own challenges, and brings the learner to a different place. Coaches will be encouraged to recognize their own style and the styles of friends, family and coachees. Understanding learning style helps coaches to assess their preferences, strengths, and challenges. Because each of the learning styles has an upside and downside, it is important to identify the learning styles one uses and those one avoids. Recognizing the different learning styles of others can illuminate the communication problems that arise when a colleague or client is coming from a different place. It can bring the synergy that occurs when a partner’s strengths cover one’s weaknesses and vice versa. Finally, coaches will be introduced to the concept of learning flexibility, the ability to use all learning styles to meet situations more effectively. They will leave with an appreciation for the benefits of developing learning flexibility as a means of selftransformation
and growth for them and their clients.

Session Objectives:
1. Examine the ideal process of learning from experience
2. Assess one’s own learning style preference
3. Identify the strengths and challenges of the learning styles
4. Link learning style to coaching effectiveness and client connection

Every encounter with a client, coworker, manager or subordinate is improvised to some degree. And in our rapidly changing work environments, research has shown that embracing technology and tolerating distractions has decreased our ability to show empathy. But all is not lost! Based on improvisational theater techniques which rely on unscripted, spontaneous, and authentic interactions, this hands-on presentation strengthens skills to enable participants to become more effective communicators, improve adaptability, and experiment with new approaches to reach coaching goals. This presentation is for new and experienced coaches who are interested in honing their communication and facilitation skills.

Session Objectives:
Deepen listening skills, improve presence, and nonverbal communication skills
Elevate their ability to create and foster collaboration
Increase comfort levels with uncertainty and change

Speaker Name: Michael Stratford

The focus of this presentation is threefold:

The first is on the Being and Doing of the Business of Coaching
Inherent in this idea is that while many people focus on growing their skills, or getting the ‘right’ marketing approach, what’s often missed is who the person is who is making the choices in the whole game. Who you are makes a difference in what you do. Whether in the role of coach or the role of businessperson. This means that the path of a successful coaching business includes personal development work.

The secondary focus of the presentation is on the crucial keystone of coaching. Uniqueness. Since coaching is all about connecting with, honoring and leveraging one’s uniqueness, this includes not only oneself, and the client, but the way in which one approaches the business itself. One reason there’s such difficulty in the world with the coaching business is that it all looks like everyone else. The same email list building campaigns, the same marketing approaches, the same benefits and features.

The third focus of this presentation is congruence. Congruence not only with who you are, normally named ‘authenticity’ but also congruence in one’s message. That is that unless you are working with a coach, have a coach or have had a coach for a significant length of time you do not ‘know’ coaching. You have only acquired some theory, some skills and data points about it, and perhaps some anecdotal information, but nothing replaces direct consistent experience of the power of coaching. Any potential client can debate with me whether or not coaching ‘fits’ them but they cannot conclude that it doesn’t work. Because I know from my personal experience how I have used it to not only turn my life around, but have a successful career for over 20 years.

Takeaways from this event include:

– Uniqueness the Crucial Factor
– Relationships are the key to longevity
– The business IS a business
– If you want to grow your business grow yourself – The Importance of Being Coached
– Attachment to the outcome is the death of the process
