The program is designed for up to 15 business/leadership coaches,either external or internal, who wish to improve their coaching to achieve measurable results in leadership development with their clients. In this highly focused course, participants will work with a proven program to improve specific core competencies to facilitate their clients’ Learning and Results for true behavior change, with specific work on “Real-Time” examples for Designing Actions, Planning and Goal-Setting, and Managing Progress and Accountability. The goal is to improve support for their clients goals in strengthening specific competencies and true leadership behavior change that they wish to improve to advance their careers and achievement of business goals and initiatives. Coaches will improve in contracting for deeper level change and results while gaining insight into well-established critical leadership competencies and development of these.
All sessions will be interactive and include instructor presentations, a complimentary sample coaching resource unit from the Skill Kit for Leaders program to use in their own practice and facilitated dialogue, and coaching practice. Students will be encouraged to report out on their practice homework and coaching results noted on a weekly basis.
The schedule supports each participant in their use of their own Development Plan, and an Evaluation Log to practice improving their work with leadership competency as it relates to business issues. Participants will experience working with a leadership competency model personally, and will be instructed on how to coach to support a client’s goals and development on typical leadership competencies. They will receive feedback on their own coaching practice. ZOOM break-out rooms may be used for brief practice coaching sessions so all participants can experience coaching and feedback during some of the live sessions.
The group size will be limited to provide time for real discussion, some coaching practice and presentation. Participants will leave each session with goals and resources for practicing to facilitate results “real-time” before the next session on a specific leadership competency.
They will be responsible for monitoring their own progress weekly and recording it in their personal “Evaluation Log” with these coaching and leadership competencies and be able to review their coaching experience in each session.
A copy of their “Evaluation Log” will be turned in to the instructor at the end of the program.
The program works with any coaching models previously learned.
